This is not going to be a blow by blow account because I was not at the match but away with the 2s.
The game did not start well for us "They are killing us, 0~11" said Keiran by text to me in Bideford with the 2s.
Things did not look good. Shortly afterwards, came the message "Rocky Young try" Good to see Rocky back on action after a long spell out and to score a try out wide in his first game back to get us moving, 5~11.
Then scrum half Alex 'six second' Lambert scored around the half hour mark with Matt Anstis adding the conversion to take us into the lead by 12~11 closing in on half time. Playing with fourteen men after Jack Evans collected a yellow card Ben McGowan ended the half for us with a try to make it 17~11.
We started the second half with the afternoon looking better than it did in the first quarter of the game.
Kelli B scored for the second week running and with Matt Anstis doing well with the boot a bonus point was won and the score stood at 24~11.
Stu Bartlett was another who scored last week and this his try and the Anstis conversion taking us to 31~11.
Truro then had moments come back when we lost concentration with a win in sight and touched down two tries in succession to make a respectable 31~21. But time was not on their side neither was Jack Evans who scored Services last try of the afternoon and with Matt Anstis adding the last conversion the game ended with other good bonus point win at 38~21.
As a result we popped to the top of the table like a champagne bubble on a good night out.
