Final Call for under 16s.

The under 16s qualified for the Fisherman’s Plate final today with an emphatic win at Exeter Saracens.
This fixture has been a long time coming after being rearranged on three occasions with some questionable reasoning from our hosts.
The competition secretary ruled the fixture to be played this weekend, which didn’t do Sarries any favours. They could only raise 13 with uncontested scrums. A second week running with us having to adapt to suit other teams.
The lads responded well to the disruption again and came up with another bonus point win.
Cosmo opened the scoring inside 2 minutes with a well-taken try, converted by Joss 0 - 7.
Virtually straight from the kick off, Isaac broke the defence to score under the posts, Joss converting again, 0 - 14.
A couple of silly penalties led to a catch and drive try for Sarries making it 5 - 14.
Charlie Hutchings crossed twice in 5 minutes, one converted by Joss and the other from the touchline by Harry Witcher. 5 - 28.
Just before the break, Joss broke through some defenders on the end of a backs move to dot down wide out, making it 5 - 33 at half time.

Services open attacking rugby continued in the second half with forwards winning collisions and linking effectively with our slick handling backs.
Cosmo and Joss collected their second scores on either side of a great solo effort from Harris, Joss converting all 3 to make it 5 - 54 with 20 minutes still to play.
A strong run by impressive Sarries' no 6 gave them a score under the posts, which was converted making it 12 - 54.
Will scored from his own half after receiving the kick off and executing an outrageous sidestep to break clear and Cosmo grabbed a hat trick in another fine individual performance.

The game was finished 8 minutes early at Sarries coaches request, understandable but slightly disappointing .So, job done, top of the league on 34 points and into the Final against Topsham at the end of the month.
The boys have developed well this season and are in good spirits. They are heading off on tour to Le Tournoi, in Quimper, next weekend.

Allez les bleus!!!
