Reports to come from the Plymouth Sports Gazette. Rugby reports

The second's game against Sidmouth II ended up rather one sided.
This was a Devon second team cup match.
To be fair to Sidmouth, they are a whole league below us, so we would have started the game as favourites.
Playing on The Rectory, by half time we were 50~7 up. Tries in order came from Toby Moss five minutes in, converted by Leighton Stark.
Then Warren Weerakoon scored his first, but the conversion was missed. 12~0.
Sidmouth II hit back with a converted try to get themselves on the scoreboard. 12~7.
Charlie Groves scored, converted by Leighton Stark. 19~7.
Toby Moss scored his second, converted by Leighton Stark. 26~7.
Jessee Lowe, in his first game for the team, scored next, and that too was converted by Leighton Stark. 33~7.
Then an unconverted try from the hands of Luke Stannard. 38~7.
Charlie Groves scored his second, which was converted by Leighton Stark. 45~7.
Then we had a poor few minutes with Ron Duffield and Jesse Lowe, yellow yellow-carded within a few minutes of each other.
The half ended with Warren Weerakoon scoring a try that was not converted. 50~7.

The team was playing in just the way that Ben Russell at coaching, wanted, we were using our fast backs with open play and sure handling, and the forwards were in on it as well.

The second half carried on much the same as the first, but with Sidmouth fastest off the blocks and scoring inside five minutes to make it 50~14.
But Warren Weerakoon steadied the ship with two tries, the first being converted by Leighton Stark. 62~14.
A speedy and strong runner, Toby Moss, scored his second, good to see Toby backing himself. Leighton Stark converting. 69~14.
Toby Moss then scored his third try, which was converted by Leighton Stark. 76~14.

From the restart, just about, Sidmouth scored their third, 76~19. Good to see that, despite the score against them, they still had the spirit to come back at us and score.
Charlie Groves scored his second converted by Leighton Stark. 83~19, then very shortly afterwards, his third. To end the afternoon on 90~19.

Thanks to Sidmouth for the game and for sticking to it. Not easy with that score against you.
The policy of open rugby, which is good to watch, was just what we like to see.

The thirds took on Plympton Victoria away in the first round of the Plymouth Combination's Ellis cup.
Played on the good looking council pitch behind the old cattle market in Plympton, the first half saw a rare showing of the sun, but it drizzled in the second half.
Plympton started strongly, and for the first fifteen minutes they had us in our half, and they were very quick upon us which prevented much good possession, and it was not till around twenty minutes that we were able to break out to score.
