We shot into a 17~5 lead thanks to the opening try from Sam Fincham RN, as Fraz once called him, converted by Leighton Stark, then one from Oli Knapman but not converted, Marjons scored their first but not converted, before Oli Knapman scored his second both with a defender trying to stop him.
Marjons came back with a good solo forwards try, his winger was calling for the ball but he refused to give it up and made it over the line despite a number of tacklers on him.
Sam Fincham then scored his second with a tight sideline run and with a couple of defenders on him one pulling his shirt in an effort to stop him, thus at half time it was 24 ~12 to us.

The second half started with the strong breeze in our favour, then a long injury to one of their players took the momentum out of us and they came back to level the scores at 24~24 with a converted try and a try after we gave away lots of penalties.
A ding dog battle started with both sides scoring, first Ciaran Poat retook the lead for us at 29~24. Marjon's levelled with an unconverted try the score, 29~29.
Tom Leach then scored down the right wing, Leighton Stark converted then added a penalty, 39~29.
Thus with ten minutes to go, it was unlikely they would get a converted try, a penalty and something else.
As it was we scored another try, Olly Myton did well to get right up to the line on the left wing but he was stopped by the defence, however he was able to pop the ball to Toby Moss who was in support and Toby was able to touch down for the final try. Then there was a great conversion by Leighton Stark from the sidelines made it 46~29. With that referee Rob Lowe blew for full-time.
Thanks to him for a well refereed game and to the two linesmen who assisted him.

We are now in the Plymouth Combination's Pedrick Cup final against the Medics Squirrels, Unfortunately, it is this Wednesday at 6 pm.
We had to play this game so close to the final because the Marjon's players did not get back from their Easter hols till Sunday.
