The Plymouth Combination's Lockie cup final

The Plymouth Combination's Lockie cup final

I think it is quite simply that Saltash were the better side.
Taking nothing from our team, Saltash have won their league and not lost a game all season and are getting promoted.
They played as a team that have played together all season, and in the forwards at least were man for man larger.
Individually, we had a team of good players with some very fast runners, but Satash were so fast up on us that we never got it together properly or were able to get any flow going. We spent our time firefighting their attacks.
At half time it was 27~0, so clearly in the second half we got better organised and were able to improve the defence, keep our spirits up and keep them to twelve points.
So after all that, we won the President's plate, which is more than many other clubs did, so while it is disappointing, at least we got to the final.
That's it for this season, apart from the Combination 7s taking place at Old Technicians, Weston Mill on 11th May, registration at 10 am, if you think you are fast, come and prove it.
