Services U11's embarked on their first rugby tour by travelling to Dorset to play against teams of an unknown quantity, which was both exciting, and a little bit scary for our players.
On Saturday we were hosted by Swanage and Wareham RFC, who fielded two teams supplemented with players from Bournemouth RFC and Services were able to field two teams, and both sides ended the day unbeaten.
We spent the afternoon on Weymouth Beach doing the usual touristy things and played a lot of beach games and enjoyed a beach picnic.
Sunday morning saw a very tired squad, and we were hosted by Dorchester RFC, and the squad had been warned that Dorchester took their rugby seriously, but then again, so does DSRFC, and we went on to convincingly beat Dorchester in what was a very testing and competitive morning of really good morning of rugby from two very competitive teams.
A great tour, and our squad were not just great ambassadors for DSRFC, but great ambassadors for Devon rugby, and our players did us proud.
Devonport Services.... HOOORRRAAAHHHH!!!
