This week saw DSRFC host a mini tournament at Stonehouse. Teams invited were US Portsmouth, Stonehouse Sharks and Saltash.
Unfortunately US Portsmouth could not attend so the tournament was changed in format slightly and we managed to enter two teams.
The tournament went well and was played in good spirit, with both of our teams scoring some fantastic tries. Although both Saltash and Sharks had some very quick runners, they were no match for our rugby and teamwork, something we have been developing in training.
Our (bibs) Team swept all before them in some style, scoring 31 tries and conceding only 14, and our other side produced some great attacking play and provided the Man of the Match, Leighton Yung.
Other noteable performers were Josh Oliver, George Pooley, Joe Harvey and Ivan Babachev who attributed his new found form to his "Magic Hat"!!!!. Well done Ivan, well done boys.

DSRFC Director of Rugby, Dave Oakley came along to watch for a few minutes and was impressed with our play. I think he was talent spotting for the future!!!
